सवालों का सबब

तेरे जवाबों में बस ये रात कट जायें।
कहे–अनकहे ख्यालात मेरे,
तेरे ज़हन से, बे–तकल्लुफ़ बंट जायें।
दरमियान अपने दूरियां बेशुमार हैं,
दे सदा, ये कम-ज़र्फ़ दूरियां घट जायें।
बे–अदब निगाह तेरी, मिलती नहीं मेरी नजर से,
जो ठहरे दोनो साथ, वक्त सिमट जायें।
मुझसे ना पूछ मेरे सवालों का सबब,
तेरे जवाबों में बस ये रात कट जायें।
This is for the time when he/she asks you the reason for your random questions. Sometimes, it’s the concern, sometimes it’s curiosity. You may want to be a part of their life by asking these questions and live it with them, even from the distance. But then there are times, when you just ask the questions to keep the conversation going. In this moment what’s important is not what is being said in the conversation, but the sheer CONVERSATION. Keep it flowing!
खो गए सवालात
Posted onखो गए सवालात, तेरे नाम पे लगाए थे।
शिकवे – गिले कई हमने, दिल में दफनाए थे।
जो उतरे तेरी नजरों में, बस पिघलते रहे हम
मानो, जुगनू से पूछा – “तुम जगमगाए थे?”।।
We may have a hundred questions for someone close to us that we seek answers to. These questions, or grudges can pile up over time and compound due to the distance. May get a bit ugly too.
But as soon as you sit down – face to face – in peace with your coffee, things fall in place. You may realise that nothing was actually required to be fixed (at least not as huge a mess as you anticipated it to be).
Give yourselves some time.

वक़्त देख कर
Posted onनहीं पहनी घड़ी तेरी तस्वीर के सामने,
कहीं रुस्वा ना कर दूं, वक़्त देख कर।
चार बातें की उस से, तो ज़रा वक़्त थमा,
मुस्कुराया ज़रा, मेरा बख़्त देख कर।
निकले कुछ रोज़, फिर हफ्ते, अब महीने हुए,
ताज्जुब में हूँ, अपनी आज़ाद गिरफ्त देख कर।
निकलेगा फिर महताब, वहां भी, यहां भी,
शरमाएगा खुद ही, अपनी शिकस्त देख कर।
नहीं पहनी घड़ी तेरी तस्वीर के सामने,
कहीं रुस्वा ना कर दूं, वक़्त देख कर।
This is for the times when the world is locked down and two of you are not able to meet as often as you used to.
